Storm day skiing best at Baker and Crystal over Alpental. Alpental benefits more from skiing day or two after storm once base stabilizes. Weekday access preferred during/after storms due to lower crowds. Road conditions critical - I-90 closure risk via DOT varies by storm intensity.

December 2025 opening with artificial snowmaking. Used as training ground when Alpental closed
