Storm Day Strategy

Solitude is the best option if LCC/BCC closures likely; avoid Snowbird if arriving Friday during major storms (LCC typically closed midnight-8am+). For Friday storms, Solitude offers terrain opening faster than Bird/Alta. Saturday during ongoing storms, expect delayed openings (Powderhorn 10:30am, Summit 11am-noon). Storm starts from south so initial wind loading less severe Friday. Expect 10-15min lift lines even on busy days during storms. Conditions improve Sunday-Monday. Pre-arrange parking reservation. Aim for early arrival (5:30am) to access terrain before crowds.
