Be prepared for extreme wind exposure on ridge terrain (90+ mph sustained winds possible). Rain line at Loveland Pass elevation around 32°F; timing matters for snow quality. Early season hardpack/crust requires tuned skis; fresh snow changes conditions rapidly.
