Arrive early for rope drop on major powder days (expect extreme crowds within 3 minutes of opening). Trestle opens mid-January in deep snow cycles; be prepared to queue 12+ skiers by late morning. Afternoon skiing often better than expected. Avoid I-70 corridor evening return (4-8+ hours observed); plan overnight or very early departure. Mary Jane trees and Trestle hold powder well. Check lift status (Pano, Hi Lo, Pio frequently closed); have terrain alternatives. Spring storms soften quickly; cloud cover keeps conditions optimal. Late-season Mary Jane skiing persists into variable closure dates.
